Launched in 2000, VANRYCKE is under the leadership of Lise Ferreira who set out to address the unfulfilled dreams of simple yet sensual jewelry of women everywhere.

Flat medals, soft coins, squares, rectangles, grigris, shapes engraved with precious messages and poetic words. Van Rycke’s pieces exist ultimately when they find their exact spot on the body. These medals enhance the edges, the bumps, the curves, the forgotten poetic places composing the human body to underline its beauty and sensuality.

Lise Ferreira was born in Paris, and spent her childhood in Montmartre at the foot of the Sacré Coeur. She inherited her aesthete's soul and her taste for fine things from her photographer father and artist mother. While still pursuing her studies in the Decorative Arts, she became fascinated by the creation of jewelry, which she designed with pure, sober lines for everyday wear. A minimalist, chic design approach.

Ferreira always carries little sketch books wherever she goes, a diary of sorts. Not a day goes by without new ideas that she must continually note, drawing all that comes to mind carefully, translating each item from her psyche onto the page with just the exact proportions. She pays particular attention to the balance and harmony of the whole creation.

The designer’s greatest joy is when she discovers her jewels on the street, worn and finally “living” through its movement on the body. 

It is the discretion of her jewellery that attracts the eye, and far from being ostentatious ornaments they lie on the skin like revelations.

In white or pink gold, they sparkle with tiny black or white diamonds. Jewels which fall just so, to underline and highlight the body's outline and evoke the message they incarnate ... sensuality. Pendants nestle delicately at the throat, rings entwine the phalanx, and bracelets twirl around the wrist, in time with its movements.

Her fine, delicate creations are designed with precision, inspired by an uncompromising desire for impeccable quality and style. Each detail is meticulously worked, contributing to an overall design which strives towards harmony.
